Investigating Microvascular Physiology and Pathophysiology using Novel Techniques
Symposium — Saturday, April 22, 2024 — 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM — , Room W192B
Microcirculatory Society (MCS) — Chair: Karen Y Stokes — Co-Chair: Felicity N.E. Gavins
Despite considerable therapeutic advances over the past 50 years, the microvasculature remains a key area of investigation for many disease processes. New technologies to image, manipulate and simulate the microvasculature are constantly evolving. The objective of this symposium is to cover imaging, CRISPR and simulation techniques that are available, or being developed, to understand the mechanisms involved in microvascular physiology and pathophysiology.
