This session will present some topics that are currently being addressed in South american laboratories. The first three talks will address new findings on the role of the renin-angiotensin system in asthma, cardiac function and interaction with the autonomic nervous system. The last one will present data on muscle plasticity and muscle-bone crosstalk at the masticatory system.
